"Every man is the architect of his own fortune." -- Sallust

Each individual has the opportunity to excel by choice. We all choose the paths we want to travel and the endeavors we want to face. Success is the outcome of our actions that we chose to accomplish. Likewise, failure is the outcome of the lack of our decision making. Shaping our futures is the most important aspect of our lives. Each person designs themselves uniquely. What sets us apart is the structure we have built. In short, If you want big things in life, set yourself up for success. It's just that simple. Do what it takes. Design your own fortune.

Dont judge a book by its cover.

Judging someone at first by physical appearance is natural and accepted in today’s society more than it ever before. But in all reality, it is very deceiving. There is so much more to a person that should be known in order to then correctly judge them. Basically, what you see is not always what you get. Sometimes your judging skills may be correct whereas other times not so correct. It is completely necessary to “read” them before you can judge them. There seems to be a line of thought that those who are influenced by pretty appearances are of a lesser moral character than those who don’t. Dig deeper; find their inner morality in order to gain more perspective.

"Time heals all wounds." - Geoffrey Chaucer

My father died when I was 7 years old, leaving me to grow up without his presence. Now as a young adult, I believe this saying to be true. I had to do whatever I could to distract myself from acknowledging what I already knew - he was gone. If I didn’t run from my grievances, I might not have gotten very far in life. I would have driven myself into a dire result. Running from reality usually doesn’t work, or at least very long for people. Personally, I know that if I never dealt with my loss in the way effective for myself, I would not be who or where I am today. As time passed, I acquired the strength and power to develop to the fullest degree, much like Charlie making landfall on the southwest coast of Florida as a category five hurricane.

About me

My name is Brooke Lee. I'm currently a senior at Seabreeze High School & dual enrolled at Daytona State College. I had no choice but to grow up so quickly, but I wouldn't change a thing if I had the opportunity to do so. My father passed away when I was about 7 years old, it had the largest impact on my life and changed the way I view life to this day. I'm still my daddy's little girl :). I'm a big fan of fishing, boating, fishing, and driving big trucks. I have a boyfriend of 2 years, with a career already ahead of him. I don't sweat the little things. I'm strong willed and know that I can get through anything on my own. I was raised by my mother and she taught me all I needed to know to get through life at an early age. I live by the quote, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
All in all, I'm totally satisfied with my life and see success just ahead of me. I'm ready to get out in the real world and fulfill my hopes and dreams. I'm completely happy with my life, nothing can bring me down.
